Technical Project Manager, Billing
BigCommerce, named "Best Place to Work” in Austin in 2017 is looking for a Technical Project Manager to work with our local Billing software development teams and global stakeholders in Product and Finance. Our Global PMO Team leads projects/programs across the company, from Product Development to Marketing to Sales and everywhere in-between. You’ll be collaborating with both internal customers and external partners to help define and execute on our global roadmap.

What you'll do
- Facilitate sprint planning, standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives and release planning
- Work closely with Financial Operations and Product to understand business priorities
- Flex your project management skills in scope management, proactive risks and issues management, cross-functional/stakeholder and leadership communication
- Build and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in your projects/programs
- Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project/program and demonstrate stellar stakeholder management and executive presentation skills
- Drive projects from start to finish and deliver value to our merchants on time, within budget and scope
- Ensure processes and tools are put in place to ensure project/program issues and feedback is properly addressed in a timely fashion
- Collaborate with colleagues within our PMO and across all other functions - both technical and not-so-technical counterparts
- Learn and grow as a Technical Project Manager with the support of the PMO organization
- Contribute to our company culture and collective best practices
- Remove impediments and creating a culture for teams to be able to deliver at their best
- Use a variety of tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet and Google Apps
Who you are
- 2 to 3 years experience as a technical project manager leading medium to large software development projects
- Project management, Agile development, process improvement/quality certifications are a plus (e.g. Scrum Master, PMP, Lean or Six Sigma).
- Proven work experience with demonstrated ability to manage internal and/or external development projects/programs from inception to successful implementation.
- Direct experience. You have experience and a passion for using Agile methodologies for managing projects and coaching teams.
- Self-driven. You have superior organizational skills, integrity and great follow-through on tasks. You don't get overwhelmed easily.
- Naturally curious. You're innovative, extremely creative and constantly providing ideas to optimize the process.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Experience with Finance Systems or Billing Systems preferred but not required
