About the Engineering Team:

The Engineering team is on a mission to build the absolute best software in the local space. We use our data and technology to effectively create and manage local business owners’ digital assets at scale. While our customers are hard at work realizing their passion and dream, our software delivers to them -

  • A compelling digital experience that matches the authenticity and spirit of that local business to their consumers. We can help the consumers to find their next favorite local joint or love their current one even more.
  • Data-driven insights about their consumers and their business - insights they can use to compete with the giants and thrive.
  • A content platform that empowers our content managers to create engaging content while having fun using the tools.

What you’ll do:

As the founding member of the Technical Support Team, you will be leading the effort to build out the Tier 3 support at Main Street Hub -

  • Work directly with business analysts, engineers, and product managers for system releases that impact multiple products and tools, serving as the primary technical contact for users after system rollout
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot for all of Main Street Hub’s technical products and tools, especially issues with system integration
  • Manage 3rd party tooling relationships and escalation of issues
  • Upgrade software configuration when necessary
  • Work as part of the engineering team to create and maintain technical notes on internal knowledge base
  • Proactively seek additional responsibilities and assist other teams as needed

Qualifications:

Basic Vocational Skills

  • 3+ years of experience working in a client facing call center, help desk or technical support environment or equivalent experience with a focus on technical consulting or development
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems
  • Able to clearly communicate with different business stakeholders, including engineering and non-engineering users of the system
  • Ability to understand system architecture: make suggestions for improvements, push back against nonideal solutions, and debug any issues which arise
  • Understand core CS fundamentals
  • Expertise in Python is a major plus
  • Successfully handle multiple projects and tasks concurrently
  • Self-motivated with high energy, a strong work ethic, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Dependable, organized, and able to prioritize your work
  • Be able to defend yourself in Nerf gun wars that break out unexpectedly, escalate definitely, fun infinitely. If you are the instigator of said war, even better
