Technology Partnerships Manager

What you’ll do…As a Technology Partnerships Manager, you will:
- Establish technology partnership strategy for Duo. This strategy should answer questions such as:
- Who are the IT and security vendors we need to strategically partner with and why?
- What kind of technology partnerships will add significant value to our customers?
- What kind of technology partnerships will help us build competitive differentiators?
- How can we leverage partnerships to fulfill our Trusted Access vision?
- How should Duo categorize and prioritize partnerships?
- How should Duo establish an effective relationship with the top four modern IT (cloud and endpoint) platform players - Microsoft, Google, Apple and Amazon?
- Execute the technology partnership strategy. This includes responsibilities such as:
- Be the lead from Duo to break ground and have conversations with potential partners.
- Build and maintain effective working relationship with partners.
- Lead business and customer use case discussions with partners.
- Talk with customers to validate integration ideas and build business cases.
- Join and maintain effective membership in partner programs (eg: Microsoft Certified Partner, Citrix Ready.).
- Work with Duo product managers to build and deliver on integrations.
- Work with Duo product marketing managers on partnership related go-to-market activities.
- Collaborate with business development, sales and marketing teams when needed.
- Establish KPIs to track and measure success.
- Communicate with all cross-functional teams such as engineering, business development, marketing, customer success and sales on technology partnerships strategy and status periodically.
- Be a an evangelist and champion for Duo in the industry. This expects you to:
- Gain command on Duo’s vision and story.
- Represent Duo and articulate Duo’s vision and story at tradeshows, partnership forums, sales calls, etc.
- Note: This role doesn’t work on sales and go-to-market partnerships such establishing a distribution or reseller program. Duo has a business development team focusing on go-to-market and sales partnership. This Technology Partnerships Manager role is very product focused and will own solving customer use cases through partnerships.
- At least 5 years of experience in enterprise IT and security industry in hands-on roles such as a practitioner (admin, auditor, security analyst, etc.), sales engineer, product manager, deployment engineer, etc.
- Good understanding of customer security use cases and how various IT/security products are deployed to satisfy these use cases.
- Proven ability to build technology partnerships in the IT and security space.
- Experience in areas such as product management, product marketing, sales, business development or engineering in IT/security companies.
- Deep understanding of the current IT and security vendor ecosystem.
- Command on emerging IT and security trends.
- Ability to effectively write and develop strategy documents and business plans.
- Proven track record or deep understanding of working in a high-growth startup environment.
- A strong drive to get things done and make an impact for Duo, the customers and our partners.
- You are comfortable with industry jargon which includes acronyms such as GRC, DLP, CASB, IAM, IdaaS, WAF, NAC, 2FA, WAM, MDM, SSO, SIEM, SOC, VA, AV, IDP, FW, VPN, PKI, PCI, HIPAA, FIPS, EPCS, MSSP, etc.
- You can name at least 25 security vendors in 2 minutes
- You’ve been to several industry conferences such as RSAC, BlackHat, InfoSec and enjoy walking the tradeshow floor and exploring what vendors do.
- You are already thinking about at least five people in the security industry that you want to talk with about Duo and this opportunity.
