Aceable has hella users now and we need a dedicated user experience researcher to help continue building products people love. You will be the first dedicated user researcher on our team and will work closely with product, design, and product marketing to help us gain a deep understanding of our users.

Aceable is a mobile education platform that focuses on creating affordable, engaging and convenient educational content across all devices. Built by former teachers, NASA engineers, and those passionate about education, the Austin-based team is obsessed with helping people with life’s certification challenges. After launching its first mobile app to provide accredited driver’s ed courses, Aceable is now expanding into other verticals for required education. To date, Aceable touts more than 400,000 users and counting, as it continues to expand nationwide.

ABOUT YOUR NEW TEAM

The Aceable design team is under the product umbrella, and currently employs one senior UX/UI designer who is very excited to stop doing design critiques in front of the mirror. As the team grows, we’ll not only work on a great product, but also help build and foster a design culture here at Aceable.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Help our design team develop our UX and research strategies to ensure we are testing the appropriate things in the appropriate ways
• Work cross-functionally with customer experience, product, and marketing teams to prioritize user research opportunities
• Conceive, conduct, and summarize user research findings utilizing ethnographic research, interviews, workshops, focus groups, etc.
• Lead the creation of user personas to inform our product development and product marketing efforts
• Recruit, screen, schedule, and design test plans for both pre and post launch product initiatives
• Synthesize user feedback and ratings info in order to hypothesize and propose actionable feedback

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• 2+ years of user research experience with multiple methodologies
• Knowledge of the product development lifecycle
• Ability to be a team player - you not only can, but you prefer collaborating, taking feedback, and helping others around you succeed
• Quantitative skills to synthesize and analyze research findings
• Strong storytelling ability to bring research conclusions to life for the broader team
