VP of Sales
Your Mission
Shopgate is seeking a VP of Sales to define and execute the sales strategy for the company. The VP of Sales will lead the sales team in acquiring all levels of customers. The VP of Sales will build a high performance sales organization and will be a key member of company leadership team tasked with long term company growth.
The ideal candidate thrives in a start-up environment and has a proven track record of defining a detailed sales strategy, running a metrics driven sales team, and expanding sales to new markets.
A Day in the Life
Plan sales strategy and tactics for targeting clients in all verticals from Enterprise to Small- Medium Businesses (SMBs)
Assume responsibility for the success of sales with respect to but not limited to client acquisition, client satisfaction, and revenue.
Scale a sales team from 20 to 50+ employees
Identify and drive new initiatives to improve performance and efficiency of the department
Define and continually refine success metrics for the department of sales and business development personnel and lead them in meeting department and company goals.
Hire, coach and develop new sales team members. Be a mentor and leader for the department and department individuals
Networking and attending key events and tradeshows
Align sales initiatives with marketing and product releases
Collaborate with the Product team to accelerate features needed to enhance sales opportunities
Collaborate with Client Services team to provide new customers a seamless experience
Create a working environment that cultivates teamwork, creativity, and success
Desired Skills and Experience
4-5 years B2B software sales experience. SaaS experience highly preferred.
Experience with the negotiation and closing of Enterprise level deals
5+ years managing sales teams
Track record of arming sales team with scalable best practices
Experience with a data driven sales process including reporting
Experience in the ecommerce industry a super plus!!
