Web Development Internship

OutboundEngine, the done-for-you marketing automation service used by over 10,000 businesses nationwide, is looking for a Web Development Internship for a paid internship role on our Marketing team. We’ve raised $33.8M in funding, are ranked #95 on the Inc 5000, and need a creative, talented and passionate intern who is interested in learning about strategic web design and working with our marketing team to create lead generation-focused, customer-facing web assets.

Founded in 2012, OutboundEngine makes online marketing easy for everyone by combining a simple, easy-to-use marketing automation platform with professionally written and beautifully designed content. Our clients spend less time on marketing and more time serving their customers, and their customers get professional, engaging campaigns that drive loyalty and referrals.

You must be a current college student or recent college graduate (within the last year) to obtain this position.

What you will work on:

— You’ll familiarize yourself with our corporate brand standards and guidelines, and use them to create and update pages on our website.

— You’ll aid non-technical members of the marketing team with the web-based deliverables for their projects (ie. landing pages, whitepaper download pages, etc)

— You’ll use templates to create industry-specific versions of web experiences.

— You’ll learn to integrate web pages with a leading marketing automation platform

— You’ll assist our Web Developer on several large web projects. These projects will involve strategic planning with customer journey and lead-generation goals in mind, fully developed pitches and wireframes, technology research and recommendations, and implementation.

— You’ll own one large web development project throughout the course of your internship. You will be responsible for initial planning and research, coordination of assets with other members of the marketing team, development of a pitch (including wireframes, high-level design, and timeline), and actual implementation on website.

Our ideal intern will have the following experience:

— You are proficient with the following:

— HTML / CSS

— Wordpress

— Photoshop / Illustrator

— Graphic Design (at least an eye)

— You have at least a basic understanding of Javascript (front-end).

— You love all things internet and your computer is one of your best friends.

— You are in touch with current front-end trends and technologies.

— You think UI and UX are more important than prettiness.

— You can follow brand guidelines and adapt them to specific purposes.

— You like coming up with creative solutions to problems and using technology to make those solutions a reality.

— You’re motivated and outspoken, with excellent communication skills.
