Goals + actions is a central point of the member experience guiding the member on the next best action the team will design and build a scalable goals + actions framework that ties together many aspects of the care journey whether that's booking an appointment, completing health assessments or actioning your personalized care plan.
As a brand new team in Austin we are searching for an Engineering Manager to shape and deliver the first iteration of this life-altering product, set the technical direction and build/grow a team of engineers around an interesting & broad problem space.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

• Design and build secure, scalable, performant and operable back-end services
• Work alongside product managers, delivery managers and other technology leaders within the organization to define, prioritize and deliver the product roadmap
• Line management responsibility for a team of engineers, typically 4 - 10, setting an example of technical excellence while offering leadership both within the team and to the wider organization
• Own the performance and security of the system, identifying priority issues where applicable and working with the team to provide solutions
• Work alongside the quality engineering group to define and own the team's quality of engineering and practices
• Be ready to make Babylon Health better for our users and coworkers

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 8+ years in Software Engineering
• Platform experience is required. Front-end experience is a plus.
• 1-2 years managing a team of 5-10+ engineers
• Able to effectively code in your strongest language
• 2-3 years of systems design and architecture
