SF's ThousandEyes opens Austin outpost, looks to hire 30

ThousandEyes, the San Francisco-based network intelligence company, announced today it is opening a new location in Austin in an effort to expand its sales and customer success operations. With plans to bring on about 30 sales and customer success team members by the end of this year, ThousandEyes named Austin tech sales veteran Victoria Abeling as Director of Sales.

“Our highly specialized sales and customer success team in Austin will provide expert support for customers across North America and ensure they get the most value from our Network Intelligence platform,” said Anthony Narducci, vice president of sales at ThousandEyes, in a statement.

Narducci said the company chose to expand to Austin due to its wide scope of tech talent.

Abeling, who brings 16 years of director experience from Austin’s Zenoss, VMWare and Oracle, will be responsible for developing the team and growing sales within the region.

For those interested in pursuing one of the 30 positions, Abeling will be looking for team members focused on understanding and assisting the needs of customers by helping these companies adopt and enable cloud and internet.

"They must have the aptitude to learn existing new technologies because they're at the forefront of solving challenges for companies that need to stay competitive as they undergo digital transformation," Abeling said.

The new office will be located in TechSpace, at 98 San Jacinto Boulevard in downtown Austin and will parallel the culture of its HQ location in San Francisco.

"Our company culture is built around superheroes because our customers tell us that using ThousandEyes software feels like they're gaining superpowers," said Abeling, adding that when individuals join the company, they get to choose their own superhero character and work in an office that embodies this theme.

With a customer-base including eBay, Twitter, Equinix and ServiceNow, ThousandEyes network intelligence platform strengthens performance and availability of their business-critical applications.
