Turnkey Vacation Rentals closes $21M Series C

On Thursday, the travel tech startup Turnkey Vacation Rentals announced it has closed a $21 million Series C round, led by Adams Street Partners. The funding will be used to double its market size and to add new tech features like 3D models of every house and virtual tours. Launched in 2013, Turnkey has now raised $41 million. Khorus raises $2.67M

Last Friday, Austin software startup Khorus raised $2.67 million in capital. Chris Palmisano, Khorus' VP of sales and marketing, told us the funding will be used for sales, marketing, customer success, continued development of the Khorus platform and to support the Khorus Certified Consulting program. Their software and network of Khorus consultants provide CEOs with strategic planning tools that help executives communicate their business plans. [FormDs]

 

SpotHero launches in Austin

Chicago-based SpotHero has announced its launch in Austin just in time for SXSW. Their mobile app will help local drivers easily locate and book parking across 35 Austin downtown lots. Roomify raises $1.1M 

The Austin startup Roomify (formerly Dorm It Up) raised $1.1 million over two rounds this week according to a SEC filing. The company sells online college room essentials through prepackaged or customized packages at a fraction of the cost from big box retailers. Roomify hit the national market in 2015. [FormDs]

 

Trendkite opens London office

This month, Trendkite announced it officially opened its London office, following a year of record growth both in customer acquisition and in expanding their team. Their analytics solutions help companies determine the effectiveness of PR campaigns. Since their 2012 launch, the company has raised $37 million in funding. [Press Release]

 

DivInc announces its second cohort

DivInc, an Austin preaccelerator program focused on the growth and development of ethnically diverse and women-led tech companies, announced a second cohort set to begin April 3. The cohort consists of seven women and nine men — and 14 out of 16 are underrepresented ethnicities. The 10 companies include an AR/VR edtech application and social media app focused on empowering couples to build stronger relationships. [Press Release]

 

Spredfast names Lynn Atchison as new CFO

Spredfast, an Austin-based social marketing software provider, announced on Tuesday the appointment of Lynn Atchison as the company's new CFO. Atchison brings overs 30 years of fintech experience. She joins Spredfast after nine years as HomeAway's CFO, where she was instrumental in taking the company public before its sale to Expedia. Atchison also was CFO at Infoglide Software. Message.IO raises an additional $3M

According to an SEC filing this week, Message.IO has raised an additional $3 million following a previous $5.3 million round in December. The Austin startup, founded last year, has now raised more than $8 million as it continues to develop its syndication platform, which is designed to make it easier for developers to quickly deploy bots across multiple channels. Favor extends Austin delivery zones

On Tuesday, Favor announced via Twitter that it has expanded its service areas in Austin. Nearly doubling its service, Favor will now deliver to areas in Oak Hill, Circle C, Jollyville, Wells Branch, Lost Creek, North Lamar and Rosewood. [Twitter]
