Advanced Excel: Beyond the Basics, May 15 at 6 p.m.

Those who have an intermediate understanding of Excel are encouraged to join General Assembly this Monday for a session on how to effectively streamline and analyze data using some of the more advanced features of the program. Please come prepared by bringing a laptop with Excel 2013 or a later version installed.

Austin Music Tech Monthly Meetup! May 16 at 7 p.m.

The Austin Music Tech Monthly Meetup will take place this Tuesday at Capital Factory. Entrepreneurs, developers, investors, service firms, music industry pros and anyone with a passion for tech and music are encouraged to attend. Network with others interested in making Austin music startups better, learn about new technologies affecting music or start the next great music tech company.

Feminist Hack Power Hour (network, meet new friends, mingle), May 17 at 6 p.m.

Head to Thunderbird Coffee on W. Koenig Lane this Wednesday for Feminist Hack’s next happy hour with other women in tech. No laptop needed — this is purely a social gathering. Feel free to bring a friend; all genders are welcome.

Cognitive Builder Faire - Austin (5.19 - 5.21), May 19 at 6 p.m.

Galvanize and IBM have partnered to host a Cognitive Builder Faire for three days of learning data innovation. Watch tutorials provided by experts teaching a suite of data engineering and cognitive computing skills in the areas of data wrangling, application building with Watson APIs and other cognitive solutions to reimagine your workflow. At the end of the event, you and your team of developers will be able to apply what you’ve learned toward building a working application to showcase. The event will be held at Galvanize.
