4 startups changing the way companies learn, train and share information

Given the current internet culture — full of trolls and twitter wars — the internet has seemed to skew negative lately. But a host of edtech and information sharing startups are cutting through all that, delivering on the promise of the internet as a powerful educational tool.

In addition to countless e-learning options for students, one sub-market in tech focuses on providing information and training to employees and businesses.

Here is a look at four Austin companies that are advancing the business world through education:

Whether you want to learn a new professional skill or create a learning program for employees, 360Training features education software suitable for a variety of subjects. The company's training software has been used by more than 4 million people in 67 countries.

360Training offers more than 6,000 regulated and non-regulated courses to the public. An advanced knowledge or certificate for a given skill can make all the difference in a career.

Tk20's online accreditation solutions have made it easier for colleges and universities to become legit. Founded in 2003, the site works with educational institutions to tailor custom solutions and foster a sustainable learning environment.

Tk20's reach within the market has grown deeper in 2017 after they merged with their competitor Taskstream, a New York company that provides accreditation to institutions ranging from kindergartens to universities.

Sometimes, success at work comes down to whether you have access to institutional knowledge. But that can be hard to find. Bloomfire's multi-tooled software solution makes it easy for employees to gain access to company information. They can search the company's archives, including content and analytics, to avoid making mistakes their predecessors made or to build upon their previous work.
