Upland Software completes largest acquisition to date

Last week, Austin-based Upland Software announced it has acquired Massachusetts-based Qvidian Corporation for $50 million in cash. Qvidian launched in 2010 and provides automated sales proposal and RFP software. The Qvidian acquisition is Upland’s largest to date. [Press Release]

SailPoint goes live on NYSE

On Friday, SailPoint’s IPO went live at $12 per share, bringing in $240 million. The cybersecurity identity management firm launched in 2005 and is the first Austin tech company to file for an IPO since Q2 Holdings and Uplands Software both did so in 2014. [Built In Austin]

EverlyWell to appear on Shark Tank this weekend

EverlyWell, an Austin startup that delivers and processes home health testing kits, will appear on ABC’s Shark Tank this Sunday, Nov. 26, at 8 p.m. Founder and CEO Julia Cheek launched EverlyWell in 2015. The company raised $2 million in May of this year and has nearly 20 employees. [EverlyWell]

Aceable joined by former Texas QB Vince Young in campaign against drunk driving

Mobile edtech startup Aceable and University of Texas football alumni and star quarterback Vince Young have teamed up to raise awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving. The multichannel campaign, which will run through the end of the year, is called “Keep the Drive Alive.” Aceable’s driving courses will also feature appearances by Young. [Press Release]

Techstars Austin will be moving into a new location in early 2018, located at 220 S. Congress Ave. The building is home to Yeti Cooler’s flagship store and will host three branches of Techstars: Techstars Austin, Techstars Impact and Techstars Ventures. SubVRsive launches music VR series ‘ACL: Backstage’

Austin VR startup SubVRsive recently partnered with Google, Apple Music and Austin City Limits to create 360-degree music documentary series called “ACL: Backstage.” The series launched to celebrate the 43rd season of PBS’s show “Austin City Limits” and gives viewers a behind-the-scenes tour with artists before they head on stage. It also highlights this past year’s biggest performances. The first three episodes of “ACL: Backstage” are now available to check out on ACL’S YouTube channel. [Press Release]
