HNI Healthcare raises $32.6M from 6 investors

According to a filing with the state, HNI Healthcare raises a $32.6 million round of funding from six undisclosed investors this week. This investment marks the company’s fifth since its 2009 launch and pushes its total funding to over $52 million. The healthtech company did not issue a statement. [FormDs]

WP Engine’s $250M funding round

Last Thursday, WP Engine raised the highest funding round the local tech sector has seen since HomeAway’s 2008 Series D of the same amount. The investment from Silver Lake Partners will be used to continue growing its international presence and toward accelerating its WordPress Digital Experience Platform. [Built In Austin]

Shelfbucks secures $9M investor backing

Shelfbucks, a startup launched in 2012 that measures in-store display campaign effectiveness, raised $9 million in funding this week. The company will use the funding to roll out its platform in grocery and drug stores nationwide for more than 20 consumer packaged goods companies. SolarWinds acquires Loggly

On Tuesday, SolarWinds announced that it has acquired San Francisco-based Loggly. Loggly develops log monitoring and log analytics software. As part of the buyout, Loggly CTO and VP of engineering Manoj Chaudhary and VP of product Vito Salvaggio will join SolarWinds engineering and product teams. [Press Release]

3 Austin AI companies land a spot on CB Insights top AI startup list

CB Insights released its second annual AI 100 list, recognizing top AI startups based on tech innovation, team strength, patent activity, mosaic score, funding history, valuation and business model. Three Austin companies appeared on this year’s list, including CognitiveScale, Mythic and SparkCognition. [CB Insights]

Ihiji acquires by Control4

Last week, Control4 announced that it has acquired local startup Ihiji to combine its own platforms with Ihiji’s remote services for home-connected customers. As part of the acquisition, Ihiji’s product development and support teams will join Control4’s. Ihiji launched in 2009. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. [Press Release]
