Amgine Technologies secures $2.2M in funding

Amgine Technologies locked in another $2.2 million in funding this week from 22 undisclosed investors, according to an SEC filing. The travel tech company, which launched in 2012 and is behind the business trip planning app HelloGbye, previously raised about $4.5 million. [FormDs]

Gaming startup Cerberus Interactive raises over $1M

According to an amended regulatory filing, Cerberus Interactive has raised $1 million in new funding from 33 investors. The funding is linked to a previously reported round that began in March 2017. 6 Austin tech companies place in the Inc. 500

Inc. Magazine released its annual Inc. 5000 list, ranking the fastest-growing private companies in the country by reported three-year revenue growth. Austin companies from all different sectors earned 82 spots with six local tech firms placing in the vaunted Inc. 500. Local PR firm launches to support women-led companies

Jennifer Cobb Moynihan and Nicole Neumayr recently launched an Austin-based PR firm called Redefine Communication. The firm will support women-led companies, consumer companies and social-impact companies with personal brand development and public relations. Job seekers are moving to Austin more than anywhere else according to LinkedIn

LinkedIn released its workforce report last week, which showed that Austin gained more workers than anywhere else in the U.S. over the past year. The report evaluates national LinkedIn data specific to hiring, skills and migration trends from July 2017 through July 2018. Austin’s numbers showed that hiring increased by 14.3 percent in 12 months and that most people were relocating from Houston, San Francisco and New York City. [LinkedIn]

Q2ebanking acquires Cloud Lending

Austin-based Q2ebanking announced that it has entered a definitive agreement to acquire California-based Cloud Lending. Cloud Lending provides an integrated end-to-end lending and leasing platform. The acquisition will allow Q2ebanking to enter new verticals and provide its financial clients with better tools to manage their lending portfolios. Adlucent acquires Directional Cue

Adlucent, a local adtech firm that helps internet retailers with consumer-focused ads, announced this week that is has acquired Austin-based Directional Cue. Directional Cue offers e-commerce strategy, advertising and content to help boost a brand’s sales on Amazon, and has developed its own proprietary reporting tools outside of Amazon’s.
