Analytics Engineer I - Apex Leadership & Development Program (ALDP) 2026 


This Analytics Engineer I role will be part of Apex Leadership & Development Program (ALDP), a cohort-based, early-career program designed to enable success through an intensive 6-8 week cross-functional training program focused on exploring the financial services industry and technology teams across Apex. The program is designed for recent college graduates and will provide ongoing education and career development opportunities. 

This opportunity is expected to begin early July 2026 at our Austin, Texas office location. 


Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and Maintain Data Models: Design, test, and maintain SQL-based data transformations (e.g., in dbt) to clean, transform, and model raw data into curated datasets optimized for reporting and analysis.  

  • Build Scalable Software Solutions: Contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software that ensures stability, reliability, and scalability.  

  • Support Visualization Development: Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand their needs, assisting in the creation and maintenance of user-friendly dashboards and reports, including contributing to Looker (LookML) development.  

  • Participate in SDLC Practices: Adhere to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices, including version control (e.g., Git), code reviews, and promotion of production-ready code.  

  • Ensure Data Quality: Assist in identifying, investigating, and resolving data quality issues to guarantee data integrity across reporting tools.  

  • Learn and Grow: Participate in the ALDP curriculum to build technical expertise and develop financial domain knowledge while continuously learning industry best practices. 



Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and transformation. 

  • Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI). 

  • Basic understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git). 

  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts is a plus. 

  • Exposure to Python for scripting and data manipulation is a plus. 

  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) is a plus. 

  • Ability to start early July 2026 alongside other cohort members. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. 

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 

  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to fast-paced environments. 


Education and/or Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business analytics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field. 

  • Experience with RDBMS and modern software development practices. 

  • Minimum requirement of a 2.5 cumulative GPA. 


Work Environment: 

  • This opportunity operates in an office environment 4 days a week during the 1-year program at Apex’s Austin, Texas location. 

  • Upon successful completion of the program, this role will operate in a hybrid model with 3 days in-office per week.
