The expected pay range for this position is $150,000.00 - $190,000.00 USD annually, based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Bringing deep expertise in workforce time management, the Consulting Manager for Workday Time Tracking & Absence will lead teams in delivering complex, high-impact implementations and system optimizations. This role requires functional mastery of Workday Time Tracking and Absence Management, strong project leadership, and the ability to manage both client relationships and cross-functional consulting teams.

The ideal candidate excels at translating operational, compliance, and workforce scheduling requirements into scalable, best-practice Workday configurations. You will oversee full-cycle solution delivery—from discovery and design through configuration, testing, and deployment, ensuring clients optimize compliance, workforce productivity, and employee experience. In this role, you’ll partner with senior stakeholders to lead transformation initiatives, manage project portfolios, and ensure successful adoption.

Your leadership, strategic insight, and hands-on experience with Workday Time and Absence solutions will enable organizations to effectively manage time tracking, leave policies, and labor compliance, while maximizing the return on their Workday investment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the successful execution of complex Workday Time Tracking and Absence Management projects, ensuring alignment with workforce policies, compliance mandates, and measurable business outcomes.

  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior client executives, guiding time and leave transformation initiatives and shaping system roadmaps aligned with business needs.

  • Lead, coach, and develop consulting teams across multiple client engagements, promoting delivery excellence, collaboration, and capability growth.

  • Oversee engagement governance, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource planning, while proactively mitigating risks and resolving escalations.

  • Provide executive oversight on Workday Time and Absence configurations, including calculation rules, accruals, time entry validations, eligibility, and absence compliance.

  • Collaborate across modules and systems (e.g., Payroll, Scheduling, Finance) to ensure seamless integration and operational alignment.

  • Support business development by contributing to account growth, leading pre-sales strategy, and participating in proposals and client presentations.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in workforce management, HCM consulting, or enterprise systems, with 5+ years of hands-on Workday HCM, with a strong focus on Workday Time Tracking and Absence experience.

  • Proven success leading end-to-end implementations of Workday Time and Absence, including configuration, testing, and rollout.

  • Deep understanding of labor laws, time compliance, accrual calculations, leave policies, and system integrations.

  • Strong leadership and delivery management skills, with experience scaling consulting teams and managing concurrent engagements.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a track record of influencing executive-level decision-making.

  • Strategic mindset and operational awareness to align system design with business objectives.

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
