Rooster Teeth’s 2D Animation Department is looking for a skilled Production Artist to join our ever growing team by generating character and prop assets as well as the occasional background for our productions. Working on properties such as Camp Camp, RTAA, the newly announced Nomad of Nowhere, and several other projects, we are a team of hardworking individuals who take pride in every step of our pipelines. Responsibilities:

• Communicate with the Director and production staff to clearly understand tasks and deadlines, asking probing questions or for clarification if anything is unclear
• Self-assess progress and utilize time management techniques to meet deadlines and milestones
• Maintain deadlines and communication during tight production schedules
• Following established procedures and protocols to track progress on assignments and integrate works generated seamlessly into the production pipeline and toolset
• Generate character, prop, and background assets that are of production quality (ie no rogue brushstrokes, pixel errors, etc)
• Bringing imagination and other creative skills to adapt to tasks and notes

Qualifications:

• Position is for an in-house artist at our Austin studio; candidates must either live in Austin or be willing to relocate quickly
• 2+ years experience designing across a wide variety of mediums and formats
• Proficient in Adobe CS, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator
• Desire and ability to further improve your skills and technique
• Strong understanding of design principles
• Strong illustration skills and the ability to modify your style to suit multiple different productions
• Work well within a small team
• Strong will and self-motivation to complete tasks on time
• Experience as a project supervisor/team lead welcome
