Animation Editor
Rooster Teeth Animation is looking to hire a full-time Editor to join our team. The animation department at RT has long been a driving force within the company, creating such shows as RWBY, Red vs. Blue, Camp Camp, and RWBY Chibi.
Responsibilities:
- Assembling animatics for animated contentSearching for and selecting temp music and sfx
- Keeping projects up to date with latest playblasts from all departments
- Creating supplementary graphicsExporting and QC of final content deliverables
- Sourcing and occasionally repackaging archived content for outside vendors
- Color grading experience is a plus (DaVinci Resolve or equivalent)
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to take instruction well, with keen attention to detail
- Must be self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to complete tasks on time
- Strong interest in narrative storytelling and pacingExperience with Adobe Premiere Pro required
- Experience with Shotgun (or similar production tracking software) is preferred
- Comfortable working knowledge of codecs and audio/video compression
- Experience authoring BluRays/DVDs a plusOn-set production experience working with cameras and lighting a plus
