Position Summary: We are seeking a talented B2B Content Writer to join our growing Marketing team. The content writer will work with key internal stakeholders and possess the ability to turn technical, industry-specific concepts into clear, differentiated and easily digestible content for use in sales enablement materials, web content, social content, PR and other communications. The ideal candidate is highly organized with great attention to detail and thrives in a fast-paced work environment. This position reports directly to the Marketing Director.

The A Player B2B Content Writer is the following:

  • Excellent Writer/Communicator: This person has excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to juggle numerous results-driven content pieces while adhering to firm deadlines. This person also possesses the ability to adapt their communication style (i.e. creative, technical, persuasive, informational) based on the deliverable and target audience.  
  • Team Player: This person collaborates effectively in a team environment – working with key internal stakeholders and agency partners – and is willing to offer insight and ideas to support the content strategy.
  • Analytical Thinker: This person possesses the ability to condense technical concepts and significant amounts of messaging into succinct communications. Additionally, this person thrives on measuring success and delivering results-driven content pieces.
  • Intellectually Curious: This person stays abreast of industry news and trends and applies knowledge to development and refinement of content strategy.  

Responsibilities:

  • Content Development: Research, write, edit, proofread and repurpose compelling content that supports lead generation, brand awareness and thought leadership efforts – all while maintaining a consistent brand voice. Deliverables include (but not limited to):
    • White papers
    • Case studies
    • Blog posts
    • Thought leadership bylines
    • Press releases
    • Social posts
  • Content Generation: Support Marketing Director in the creation and management of the content calendar, including content generation ideas and campaigns.
  • Channel Management: Manage social channels and company website, and support the Marketing Director with lead generation campaigns, including email, direct mail, events and more. Track content performance across channels and report on channel performance.
  • Sales Enablement: Support the Marketing Director with creating sales enablement materials including product one sheets, slides decks, competitor battle bards, presentation materials, etc.  

Skills & Experience:

  • BS/BA in journalism, marketing, communications or related field
  • 3+ years of B2B writing experience (insurance industry knowledge is a plus)
  • Located in Austin, TX
  • Ability to work full-time
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat/Illustrator/InDesign tools is a plus
  • Experience with marketing automation tools is a plus
