Brand & Content Strategist
The role of Brand and Content Strategist is to be the expert on our audiences, and customer insights, and use this knowledge to inform brand strategy and content that drives the business forward. The Strategist will partner closely with the Creative, CRM, Media, Product Marketing, Partnerships, Content/Merchandising and Organic Social/Blog teams to develop compelling storylines, content series, and partnership strategies that achieve team goals for all audiences. The Brand and Content Strategist has proven skills in developing creative campaign briefs, creating digital content programs (from strategy, to development and execution, to measurement and optimization) and digital audience development (channel planning, testing, user growth) to improve Brand awareness and acquisition and retention for Customers and Runners.
Responsibilities:
- Create guidelines that allow for a fluid brand that is consistently growing and evolving with our consumers, media, and changing competitive landscape
- Craft and own our brand positioning statement, creative team briefs, training protocols, marketing and differentiation strategy for our 3 audiences (Consumer, Runner & Merchant)
- Distill customer insights, business objectives, and success criteria to develop campaign briefs and toolkits to support the Brand and strategic launches
- Work closely with our research team and conduct competitive research, perform content audits, and analyze market trends to identify new opportunities, mediums and challenges (including podcasts, interactive elements, video, infographics) to engage target audiences and further awareness
- Measure the impact and return of efforts by working with channels and reporting on brand mentions, engagement, and organic traffic as well as our retention and acquisition efforts
- Manage and mentor our Brand Coordinator who is responsible for managing our social media, blog and owned channel
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communication, or related field
- Experience managing brand content, positioning & content strategy for a consumer brand
- Knowledge of social media platforms and best practices for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Experience ideating and building creative and brand briefs for internal teams and external partners
- Strong understanding of blog and social media analytics and how to use them to drive results
- Previous management experience strongly preferred
