Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 15 years of experience in customer and technology education.
• 10 years of experience with cloud design - global infrastructure, distributed systems, load balancing, big data, security and compliance, storage etc.
• 8 years of experience managing globally dispersed teams.

Preferred qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science or Business Management.
• Experience managing a team of engineers and developers building learning technology.
• Experience with internal Partner Sales and Technical enablement.
• Ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment with the experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Executive presence with excellent oral and written communication skills for interacting and collaborating with clients, vendors, staff, and internal business partners.
• Organizational development skills, with a track record of having developed training functions and influence in a global matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a globally dispersed high performing team including curriculum developers, program managers, project managers, vendor managers, video production, lab architects, and certification developers, and external training development partners.
• Define and execute strategy for developing a mature training curriculum for various audiences in our customer, partners, developer, HigherEd and Googler segments - Business Users, Architects, Developers, DevOps Professionals, Data Scientists, etc.
• Define, build, and grow a tiered skilled and credential program, including a certification program allowing customers to prove expertise with Google technology.
• Establish and evolve a streamlined process for ongoing maturation of curriculum, certification development, and release coordination with the Training Delivery team, Sales, Marketing, Support, Engineering and Partner Alliances.
• Encourage consistent learning technology usage across Google for higher efficiency and seamless learner experience. Travel up to 30% of the time domestically and internationally.
