FloSports is seeking a freelance sports content creator for Varsity TV & FloCheer. This person will assist in bringing the Varsity TV and FloCheer content strategy to life, with a focus on video production. This role requires a strong cheerleading background and an understanding of the sport and where it’s going. 

The ideal candidates have experience in creating video content and also have expertise in Cheerleading. You’ll bring the sport to life through on-site video content creation at events throughout the season.

Candidates must have a nose for compelling storylines and ability to meet tight deadlines.The ability to effectively plan, multitask, hit deadlines, and engage our audience with engaging cheer content is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Shoot/edit b-roll and interviews on-site at events
• Coordinate and give interviews to athletes, coaches, etc.
• One-man-band interviews and content pieces
• Create in-depth feature content
• Produce highlights pre, during, and post event
• Create video preview content around events
• Create video content recapping events
• Develop and pitch feature story ideas
• Create other compelling video content around events
• Communicate with FloSports content manager to understand needs and expectations

REQUIRED

• Equipment/gear to successfully complete tasks
• Frequent travel to weekend events 
• Knowledge of the cheerleading world and where it’s going

• Highly organized, self-motivated and deadline oriented
• Ability to create compelling content that requires little or no editing
