Atlassian is continuing to hire with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. All new and existing Atlassians will continue to work from home until it’s safe to return to our offices. When our offices re-open, we will provide the choice to work from home or return to work in an office unless a job requirement makes it necessary for a particular role to be performed at an Atlassian office.

Job description

Atlassian is looking for a Sales Enablement Instructional Designer to deliver excellent product training and keep corresponding resources up to date.

You'll use your instructional design and project management abilities to build dynamic learning experiences that reach hundreds of employees around the world, developing training at scale and customizing where appropriate (e.g., for the role, location, situation).

Atlassian's products are used in virtually every industry, vertical, and segment, from SMB to Enterprise. Your goal will be to enable our Channel Partners on how to do business with Atlassian by educating them on processes, pricing, discounting, rules of engagement, and tools & resources at their disposal.

More about you

The person in this role will be instrumental in leading and implementing learning programs, building e-Learnings and live training sessions, and supporting other key strategic program initiatives.

You thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities encourage you to find creative, informed, and innovative learning solutions to business problems.

Your product mentality means you’re comfortable seeking out user feedback, using agile development strategies, and consider experimentation a norm to build progressive learning products.

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • Strong instructional design experience and a deep understanding of learning methodologies to develop effective and engaging learning experiences.
  • 2+ years of experience in designing, developing, and testing educational content development for in-person training and eLearning
  • Establish methods and clearly measure impact and effectiveness of education programs and reporting on learner engagement, retention, and application
  • Ability to prioritize workload and optimally balance competing priorities in order to meet goals
  • Experience working in a results-oriented, constantly evolving environment that requires critical thinking, resourcefulness, results-oriented decision making and dedication to excellence
  • Strong sense of urgency and personal accountability, not afraid to get hands-on
  • Exposure to using Atlassian products is a strong positive
  • Consistent track record of building positive relationships across a diverse range of partners and working across boundaries to deliver results

Design Training

  • Design and develop engaging, informative, and visually compelling in-person and online learning experiences including slide decks, activity sheets, facilitator guides, and job aids based on learner needs.
  • Act as a learning consultant to understand the business' needs around learning and help connect learning strategies.

Partner Management

  • Build relationships with key cross-functional partners to understand how your content is being received and take action based on feedback.
  • Lead vendors in the external development of learning materials, video, or media.
  • Ability to tackle problems and handle input from multiple partners; providing potential solutions when there is uncertainty and facilitating decision-making

Knowledge Management

  • Continually work to ensure all training and job aid materials are consistent and up-to-date and in line with products and larger training goals and initiatives.
  • Find new ways to produce content that scales and resonates with our increasingly global audience.
  • Build and maintain a portal of learning content, using our existing ecosystem of technology to deliver content across all audiences.

E-learning and Technology

  • Experience in using eLearning technologies with an innovative design approach that is not constrained by what tools and technology are available today.
  • Create online learning modules using authoring tools such as Articulate Rise, Absorb, and Camtasia.
  • Experience with mobile learning, gamification, and other interactive learning methodologies
  • Assign trainings to various sub-teams, supervise completion rates and pull reports for managers.

Measurement

  • Ensure that initiatives are measurable in terms of improving the capabilities of sellers and creating learning experiences.
  • Support the creation of standardized metrics and evaluation processes across training to ensure an analytical approach when evaluating and addressing learning needs
