The Job

We’re looking for a writer’s writer. A curious storyteller. Both conceptual and tactical. A thinker who sweats the small stuff. A person who finds themselves shouting at the TV news or a bus bench ad, “C’mon, words actually mean things.”

Someone who knows the big idea is the Whole. Darn. Thing. And the medium is just a set of specs. We’re building a brand from the ground up, after all. 

A creative who could labor over a video script for weeks, but can whip one into presentation shape in a day. Same for a tweet. Or an email. Or a.... you get the idea.

Someone willing to roll up their sleeves, no matter the task - and in a start-up, there are plenty of tasks.

This person must exhibit confidence presenting work to senior stakeholders and defending it. Have both humor and humility.

A Little About You

• 5+ years writing for an agency or brand
• Amazing creative work in a less-than-sexy product category
• Graduate of a portfolio program or a portfolio that fools us
• Experience writing for all media, including video, print, social media, websites and more
• Online portfolio with recent work samples
• Bonus points if you can tinker in Adobe Creative Suite 
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication
• Initiative and motivation to make big things happen
