Post-Production Assistant Editor
Rooster Teeth is looking for a Post-Production Assistant Video Editor for our Live Action division who can strategically piece together video content to tell a story and deliver a message. The individual will be responsible for seeing the bigger picture of all available footage and content in Post-Production, then craft together the best content for our Live Action team.
Responsibilities:
- Ingesting and organizing footage
- Creating assemblies and rough cuts as needed
- Sourcing SFX and music
- Creating cue sheets, exports, and archiving projects
- Working on-set/ on-location occasionally
- Preparing files for VFX, color, and audio
- Media managementTechnical troubleshooting
- Assisting editors and producers as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years demonstrated experience post-production, editing live action videos
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop
- Knowledge of hardware and software required for video and audio format conversion and compression
- Must have an understanding of video file formats, video analysis and metadata
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills including specific editing workflows
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment & accept feedback/notes on work
- Desire to further improve skills and techniques
- Strong will and self-motivation to take on projects and complete tasks on time
- Familiarity with Final Cut Pro X and DaVinci Resolve a plus
