What you will do:

We are looking for a Senior Technical Writer for the Support team who can come in and quickly make valuable contributions to our Customer, Developer, and Admin-facing Support Knowledge Base.

Our Support team is working every single day to ensure quick and professional help to our customers, and documenting as many known solutions as possible to make both customers’ and our support engineers’ lives easier.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Author in Zendesk Guide (Help Center)
  • Obtain up-to-date and complete information from support engineers to ensure accuracy and completeness of the delivered documentation
  • Demonstrate that you understand the technical and business needs of your audiences (Magento admin users, system integrators, devops, developers, etc.)
  • Work closely with the Support Team (support agents, developers, analysts, and managers) and across all organizations to define and implement the absolute best solution
  • Drive continuous improvement of documentation standards, tools, and processes
  • Work within an Agile development, using JIRA to track and plan documentation work

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Have a clear and effective writing style
  • 4-5 years of technical writing experience
  • Have experience driving knowledge management program and processes
  • Experience using plain-text editors to improve texts, written in Zendesk Guide, using HTML
  • Ability to read and understand small code examples in Bash, SQL, PHP, JavaScript a plus
  • Experience with making documentation for web applications or cloud solutions
  • Experience with Zendesk Guide (Help Center) is a bonus
  • Experience with documentation for e-commerce solutions is a bonus
  • Experience with Jira is a bonus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Collaborate with other writers and developers with a positive attitude
  • Organize your own work with minimal supervision and deliver to meet strict deadlines
  • Adapt to changes in priorities, projects, and processes with equanimity
  • Advocate for product, process, and documentation improvements
  • Work closely with internal domain experts and external customers
