Red Ventures Health and Healthline Media are looking for an experienced Vice President of Content Operations to lead the next phase of the strategic operations across our content business. Producing over 1,500 pieces of health & wellness content per month across our four sites (healthline.com, medicalnewstoday.com, greatist.com, psychcentral.com) and reaching over 200M unique visitors globally per month, our content operations works to ensure quality, equity, consistency, accuracy, efficiency, and performance across everything that we create.

Based remotely or in one of our Healthline offices (SF, NY, Charlotte, Brighton), we’re seeking the most forward-thinking and inspired operational leader to manage the content roadmap, workflows, production, training, tools, communications, and freelance management across our scaled content business. The VP of Content Operations will be instrumental in shaping and implementing data-driven operating models that drive efficiencies and performance at scale without compromising the highest quality and integrity standards of our content production. 

The role requires balancing multiple priorities and deadlines at once, a keen sense of data analytics, a proven track record of managing a P&L, experience managing and mentoring growing, diverse teams, and the ability to organize and make informed decisions and take action quickly. 

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee all aspects of content operations across Red Ventures Health and Healthline Media
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a diverse team of content producers and project managers
  • Drive stronger standardization, efficiencies, collaboration, communications, and performance through data-driven operating models
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across all aspects of our content operations
  • Proactively report on Content Operations KPIs, benchmarks and timelines, including the creation of dashboards to track progress and performance
  • Create collaborative relationships with team members across many departments including Marketing, Business Operations, Product, Design, and Engineering
  • Oversee strategic relationships with partners and freelancers, inclusive of negotiations, workflow, technical integration, and day-to-day management to acquire, produce, and promote content
  • Drive collaboration and efficiencies across all RV content operations

What We're Looking For:

  • 10+ years in a senior digital editorial leadership role — preferably at a large scale publisher
  • An innovative and strategic mindset and a relentless passion and drive to solve complex problems
  • A deep understanding of and interest for data analytics and metrics-based content strategy, paired with strong operating skills
  • Experience managing a P&L and creating a successful budget
  • Proven track record of successfully managing content production teams and workflows at scale
  • An all-star team leader who leads with empathy, compassion, and drive
  • A commitment to authenticity and the highest standards of journalism and editorial best practices
  • Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and take initiative
  • Ability to work well individually and as part of a team, collaborating with multiple departments
  • An avid interest in health and wellness, along with the overall digital media landscape
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including outstanding presentation skills
  • Ability to make audience learnings and research actionable
  • Stellar organizational and time management skills
