BigCommerce, named a "Best Place to Work" in Austin 2017, is looking for a Video Content Specialist for our Austin Four Points Office. In this exciting position, you will support our customers through visual content. You will be responsible for capturing and editing video footage, mastering and publishing customer-facing educational videos, facilitating live video webinars and assisting in other creative capacities for our Client Success team.

You will collaborate cross-functionally to create engaging and educational storytelling content. You will also be responsible for maintaining all digital media assets, created by you, or given to you from the design team as well as their quality standards. You will adhere to brand standards and guidelines at all times. The Video Content Specialist supports video ideation, development, and technical execution of video content for Client Success. This contributor must be able to take content from an initial concept all the way through to an executed deliverable, while working with members of the Client Success and Self Service teams to ensure a cohesive vision.

What You’ll Do

• Capture, edit and publish customer facing video tutorials of a cloud based software
• Support the video content strategy through ideation, writing, planning, production, editing, and publishing processes
• Manipulate and repurpose current static creative assets for video (Photoshop/Illustrator)
• Work closely with the L&OD & Knowledge Base Teams to create engaging educational content and help identify content gaps.
• Edit various staff recorded screen captures for client facing usage
• Collaborate with the creative team for access to latest creative and branded assets
• Export Mastered piece for web publication
• Upload and manage mastered files to various content management systems
• Help facilitate and manage the recording of live webinars when needed
• Develop and maintain editing standards to ensure consistency in quality, look, feel and tonality for all digital and video assets.
• Assist with video production, setup, and camera operation if needed.
• Take technical information and provide instructional material that is clear and concise.

Who You Are

• Have working knowledge of the BigCommerce Platform
• Significant working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (CS6 or later)
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Screen capturing proficiency
• You have an eye for good design
• Prioritize workflow with flexibility for changing scope and timelines
• Good sense of timing and screen composition
• Knowledge of audio recording and voice over application
• Knowledge and understanding of YouTube application and best practices
• Preferred experience working in post-production environment producing original content
• Proficient writing skills for screen
• Ability to work independently and under close direction
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of video codecs and formats
• Knowledge of video/broadcast and web standards
