We’re looking for a skilled Video Producer/Editor to join our growing digital video content team. This is a hands-on role for an experienced editor with motion graphics chops (Adobe CC), and if you bring some camera, producing, or other production skills to the table too, even better!  Ideally you’re a multimedia jill-or-jack-of-all-trades with a passion for storytelling, eager to join a small team where you’ll have plenty of creative autonomy on projects from pitch to delivery, and an opportunity to shape the voice of established education brands like Best Colleges, Nurse Journal and more. What You’ll Do

• Be the primary hands-on video editor and motion graphics artist on one-off videos and serial content, much of which will live at the intersection of video journalism and branded content.
• Work both independently and collaboratively across teams to set priorities and meet deadlines while juggling multiple projects.
• Participate in pre-pro (pitching, planning, scripting, storyboarding) and bring fresh ideas to the table at every stage.
• Have a meaningful hand in building a video pipeline from the ground up: giving input on best practices, coming up with ideas for new videos and series and then overseeing them, and helping shape the voice of our media brands through video.
• Depending on opportunity and interest, you might also have a chance to: travel around the country for shoots, serve as producer/point-person on projects with external contractors, produce podcasts, cast or run interviews, be an on-camera personality, manage social video channels and more.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of hands-on video post-production experience with a strong portfolio or reel that clearly indicates your role on each project.
• Experience creating compelling video content for a media organization, production company, agency, or in-house creative team.
• A passion for telling great stories and strong journalistic integrity.
• Expertise in Adobe Premiere and at least a moderate comfort level with Adobe After Effects
• Someone inquisitive, collaborative and confident, with a great sense of humor.

Even Better

• Any of the following types of location or studio production experience: camera operation (especially Canon and Sony cine bodies), G&E, audio, “preditor,” drone operation & licensure, livestreams, teleprompting, multicam production and/or switching, line producing.
• Any of the following additional post-production skills: color correction & grading (Davinci or other), 2D or 3D animation (Adobe or other), art & design.
• Past success managing social video channels (YouTube, TikTok) for brands 
• While the role is remote, proximity to one of the following metro areas could be advantageous: Charlotte, New York, San Francisco, Boston.
