TV Guide is seeking a pop-culture-obsessed writer to join our West Coast reviews & recommendations team. We’re looking for an entertainment enthusiast who can help our diverse audience navigate the saturated streaming landscape and decide what to watch.

What You'll Do:

  • Create and manage TV and movie recommendation stories based on individual shows, streaming platforms, genres, SEO priorities, holidays, moods, and more
  • Write, edit, and update TV and movie reviews
  • Pitch in on major breaking news and all-hands coverage of TV and industry events, including conventions, awards shows, and editorial tentpoles
  • Assist with TV Guide’s video and social efforts, including potential on-camera opportunities
  • Help keep TVGuide.com homepage and other pages up-to-date
  • Support the Reviews & Recommendations Editor with planning and organizational tasks

What We're Looking For:

  • An entertainment addict with wide-ranging TV and streaming knowledge -- you should be familiar with popular hits and obscure gems -- a strong editorial voice that's fun to read, and a passion for suggesting things to watch
  • A fast and clean writer with at least two years’ experience covering TV, streaming, and/or film
  • A self-motivated journalist who can work independently, pitch often, and jump in where they’re needed without waiting for an assignment
  • A quick learner who can dive into our CMS and analytics tools
  • Prefer someone based in LA or on the West Coast, or willing to cover West Coast hours, with occasional nights and weekends as required by industry events
