This role involves crafting UX copy for a new mobile app, collaborating with design and engineering teams to enhance user experience.
CourtAvenue is a company of industry experts accelerating digital transformation for the world’s most ambitious companies.
At CourtAvenue, you will be a part of a culture powered by entrepreneurs, technologists, data scientists and the habitually restless dedicated and energized to design products and services that transform businesses while optimizing them for growth. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow within a culture that values innovation while focusing on redesigning the experience between consumer and service (or product) by leveraging a fluid, seamless, and thoroughly transparent engagement.
We’re looking for a seasoned UX writer with strong storytelling instincts to help shape the voice and narrative of a new flagship app. This is not your average UX writing role—we’re pushing the boundaries of simplicity, tone, and design. You’ll craft crisp, clear, and human copy that elevates the experience and brings consistency, clarity, and personality to every screen.
Responsibilities:
- Own UX writing across key features of a new mobile app—from early strategy to final polish
- Bring a point of view and craft intentional content that reflects a smart, user-first tone
- Collaborate closely with UX and UI designers, engineers, product owners, and content peers
- Work within Figma to shape content directly in the design
- Ensure accessibility and inclusivity across all content.
You're a great fit if you:
- Believe writing is designing, & you know how to write and think like a designer
- Thrive in cross-functional teams and love solving problems with words
- Can move fluidly between microcopy, flows, systems thinking, and higher-level narrative strategy
- Want your writing to feel warm, modern, and real—never robotic or dry
- Can take a complex concept and boil it down into a line that makes a user say “ah, got it”
- Wants to help define a voice, not just maintain one
- Are excited by the chance to work on an ambitious product
Requirements:
- 5+ years writing for digital products, ideally in mobile-first environments
- Demonstrated experience crafting UX copy that balances functionality and personality
- Strong narrative instincts—can connect small moments to a broader brand story
- Experience working in agile environments and navigating ambiguity
- Ability to present and defend content decisions with clarity and confidence
- Familiarity with accessibility best practices and inclusive language principles
- Proficiency in Figma and working directly in design files
- Digital agency experience and background preferred.
- Nice to HaveTelecom, tech, or consumer app experience
- Familiarity with content testing and interpreting user research insights
Additional Information
- This contract opportunity requires a 40 hour/week commitment with a Central or Eastern Time zone work schedule
