Data Operations Intern

OutboundEngine, the leading done-for-you marketing automation service, is seeking a Data Operations Intern to help us manage our internal issue queue and complete lower level administration tasks.

Our clients spend less time on marketing and more time serving their customers, and their customers get valuable content that they’re excited to engage with. We’ve raised $33.8M in funding, have over 10,000 customers on our platform and need an email marketing expert who hails from a product marketing background to help us continue to wow the 10,000 customers we have and compel the next 10,000 to join us for our prowess.

We are looking for a well-organized, self-motivated Data Operations Intern to join our Data Operations team supporting our sales leads processes. In this role, you will get experience with Salesforce Admin Tools, Sales/Data Operations, Analytics and Data Mining. If you are an analytical problem solver who thrives in an environment where you can help others succeed, this might be the perfect job for you.

Our data team is responsible for managing Leads across our sales teams and assisting with Project Management and Analytics. We resolve thousands of tickets each month from the sales team primarily relating to data quality issues, duplicate leads and lead creation.

The ideal candidate will have a mix of solid computer skills, business experience, good communication skills and analytical background and have the ability to follow simple business logic to complete tasks via email and salesforce. 

PLEASE NOTE : This is a Intern position which means you should be a current college student or graduated college within the last calendar year. You should also be located in Austin, Tx and be able to work at least 15 hours a week. If none of these apply to you, please do not apply for this role.

Also, you must be able to start within the next month.

What You'll Do:

  • Using Defined Rules, Merge and/or Update Ownership of Salesforce Records.
  • Create New Records in Salesforce.
  • Respond to Internal Emails and Issues.
  • Track Resolved Issues in Zendesk.
  • Escalate Unresolved/Advanced Issues to Management.
  • Email Auto Response Queue (or kill this task)
  • Recruiting Lead Requests
  • Lead Issue Reports
  • Referral Management
  • New Lead Creation

What we're looking for:

  • Experience working in a fast environment.
  • Must be self-motivated with an ability to use logic and analysis to diagnose and resolve often ambiguous and vague problems.
  • A solid base of experience with Microsoft Excel is very helpful. VBA experience great, but not required.
  • Any experience with administering Salesforce, web development, web scraping, or sales lead prospecting helpful.
