Analytics Engineers sit at the intersection of business teams, Data Analytics and Data Engineering and are responsible for bringing robust, efficient, and integrated data models and products to life. Analytics Engineers speak the language of business and technical teams, and are able to translate data insights and analysis needs into models powered by our Enterprise Data Platform. The successful Analytics Engineer is able to blend business acumen with technical expertise and transition between business strategy and data development.

What You'll Do: 

  • As a team member responsible for helping bridge the gap between business and tech, the Analytics Engineer role requires equal amounts of business and technical acumen.
  • Conceptualize and own the data architecture for multiple large-scale projects, while evaluating design and operational tradeoffs within the systems.
  • Design, build, and launch collections of sophisticated data models and visualizations that support multiple use cases across different products or domains.
  • Approve data model changes as a data team reviewer and code owner for specific data models and schemas.
  • Provide data modeling expertise to the DA team, and training to help deliver optimal, scalable, and production-ready solutions for our stakeholders.
  • Influence cross-functional product and business teams to identify data opportunities that drive impact.
  • Partner with Data Analytics and Data Engineering team members to optimize pipelines, dashboards, and data sources to facilitate easier development of analytics solutions.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong proficiency in writing analytical SQL and understanding of the difference between SQL that works, and performant SQL.
  • Solid understanding and experience in modern data warehouse design and optimization.
  • Familiarity with modern business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Google Data Studio or similar.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into complex technical solutions.
  • Functional knowledge of cloud-based data warehouses (e.g. Redshift, GBQ, Snowflake, Databricks), including table creation, incremental refresh, etc.
  • Experience with Amazon Redshift and/or Google BigQuery is preferred not required.
    Experience with modern BI tools such as Tableau and/or Google Data Studio is preferred not required. 
    Can think of rules to enforce clean data, catching potential data issues early is preferred not required.

    • Starting Salary: $80,000 - $138,500 
      *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications and experience
