We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analytics Manager to lead a growing team that sits within the broader Global Operations Analytics Team. They will help develop our analytical and reporting infrastructure that enables us to understand and predict trends across our operations as we scale rapidly. You will cultivate a deep understanding of Babylon’s operations to help drive your analytical solutions, and you must be able to communicate the value of your work across different disciplines, effectively embed your solutions in day-to-day operations, and deliver on tight timelines. 


You will work closely with the Operations team and across multiple product and technical teams to help us build the first digital end-to-end healthcare service that can support millions of patients.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a small team of analysts in one of our Global Operations Analytics (GOA) teams, including upskilling more junior team members in all areas from SQL to business acumen as well as identifying hiring requirements to recruit into any gaps
  • Oversee prioritization and planning of work for your team, and use this to inform the wider GOA team’s roadmap
  • Be the “second in command” for a GOA Analytics Lead, i.e. be the main point of contact and work closely to grow and scale the team
  • Be the analytical powerhouse behind core Operations projects from origination to implementation
  • Work with our development and data engineering teams to create the required models and analysis to drive Operations initiatives and maintain a data platform that is optimized for its end users
  • Develop a strong understanding of Babylon’s operations to define appropriate metrics and key success indicators and help Babylon at large understand and act on them by communicating insights to senior stakeholders and business partners on a regular basis
  • Work closely with business leads and clinicians to build and optimize our foundational data infrastructure and analytics platform to support a gold-standard suite of reports and dashboards that will be used for data-driven decision-making within Operations and across the company
  • Build clear and effective feedback loops to key areas of the business (including product, engineering, commercial, marketing etc.) to provide valuable Operations insights
  • Co-own the ETL and data model for your team’s data domains
  • Mentor and upskill power business users on the use of Tableau to support self service
  • Help drive a culture of strong analytics and data-driven thinking across the operations division

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience leading or managing a team of analysts; minimum of 1-2 years preferred
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a technical analytics role
  • 3-5+ years business experience using SQL
  • 3-5+ years experience using Tableau (or similar BI tool) to build reporting dashboards and analyze data
  • 2-3+ years experience leveraging ETL/ELT and data modelling tools such as dbt
  • Experience in forecasting and modelling
  • Strong statistical understanding
  • Numerical degree: Maths, Engineering, Science, Computer Science, Finance or related subjects
  • Strong business acumen and proven creativity in developing process and cost optimization initiatives
  • Experience working on end-to-end, cross-functional analytics projects
  • Experience building models and dashboards on tight timelines and embedding these in operations to inform real-time business decisions
  • Experience capturing and building analytical solutions to stakeholder requirements, across various levels of seniority and functions
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment and adopt a generalist do-what-it-takes mindset.
  • You need to want to make change now – this is less about creating a strategy that will be implemented over the next 5 years, and more about processes that can change the business in the next 6 months.
