The Opportunity:

Are you passionate about implementing and supporting technology that enables enterprise-wide analytics? If so, HomeAway’s Data & Analytics Team is looking for an Analytics Systems Administrator with a background in implementing enterprise-class analytics systems and tools. We are looking for a highly skilled, motivated individual who is a self-starter, excited about new technologies, passionate about advancing their career, and willing to help implement all aspects of our analytics operations.

What You’ll Do:

• Implement and maintain technology that empowers our analysts to produce meaningful insights from our vast amounts of data
• Design and implement high availability architecture, including disaster recovery
• Help implement tools and processes to automate the management of our systems
• Implement and optimize our analytics infrastructure for cost, security, and performance
• Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to provide insight into overall platform health
• Craft and maintain documentation of infrastructure and processes
• Participate in on-call support and other daily tasks
• Assist in evaluating new technology
• Provide recommendations to improve our data and analytics architecture

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
• 2+ years experience administering analytics systems
• In depth knowledge of Tableau Server
• Familiarity of business intelligence and data warehousing methodologies
• Experience with Windows and Linux systems administration
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS
• Experience monitoring system health
• Basic network troubleshooting
• Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
• Good interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail
• Highly agile and self-starter
• Passion to make a difference

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with SSAS, Druid, Pivot, Looker, Kyvos, Presto, Redshift, Snowflake, Qubole
• Experience writing SQL
• Familiarity with big data concepts
• Experience with a scripting language like Python, Ruby, Bash
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Puppet, Ansible, Terraform
• Familiarity with scheduling tools (UAC, Airflow)
