The Operations team at Upside is a diverse group of team-oriented individuals who are committed to our mission of helping communities thrive. Every day, we strive to increase the value we provide to consumers and merchants alike by analyzing system performance, rooting out inefficiencies, and delivering on our promises. The Merchant Operations team works cross functionally to get locations live on the platform and tries to make our product even better for our merchants every day. We value a supportive work environment where we can learn from our mistakes while we take on the constantly evolving challenges that come with supporting a fast-growing business!
What you'll do:
As an Analyst on the Merchant Operations team, you'll drive merchant success & Upside's operational efficiency as we expand nationwide and support our 40,000+ merchant locations by:
- Implementing merchant launches from large enterprise customers (thousands of locations) to SMB merchants (a handful of locations)
- Adding new merchant sites (gas, grocery, restaurants, and more) to the platform by configuring the system via internal tools and scripts
- Ensuring continued participation of merchants by building and using internal dashboards and reports to convey product value to internal partners
- Developing and improving processes to increase Merchant Operations team efficiency and while minimizing opportunity for error
- Analyzing merchant metrics and improving site performance by monitoring merchant data feeds and calling out issues to understand merchant health and to prioritize automation projects
- Running custom ad-hoc investigations and analyses to support Sales and Account Management teams
- Working with product & engineering teams to automate the onboarding process, configuration tools, and client reports
What you need:
- 1-4 years of work experience
- Strong analytical skills, organizational skills, and prioritization skills
- A keen eye for detail with an equal focus on process and execution
- Process and systems-oriented approach to problem-solving
- Self-starter who gets things done
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and interest in doing so at a quickly growing startup!
- A constant desire for learning and self-improvement
