Solutions Architect
Q2 Lending offers a cloud-based, end-to-end lending platform to deliver innovation to the global lending community. Unlike legacy technology platforms that are expensive to maintain and prevent agile response to market conditions, Q2 Lending’s customers take back control of their business by quickly implementing, extending, and digitizing the entire lending lifecycle that provide differentiated digital experiences while promoting a lender’s compliance and risk mitigation processes through the lifecycle of a loan. Customers include banks, traditional finance companies, online lenders, and marketplace platforms.
The Solution Architect will act as an industry domain expert to Professional Services teams on the Q2 Lending Platform which is built on the Salesforce Platform. As a domain expert, the Solution Architect is responsible for determining how Q2 Lending fits into an enterprise business and IT architecture in the Banking and Alternative Finance industries. With a broad IT background including business architecture, cloud computing, and the software development process, the Solution Architect will structure the proposed deployment of Q2 Lending solutions and transform customer business strategy into execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a Trusted Advisor, drive conversations with our customer’s Enterprise Architects and Business Stakeholders armed with best practices for enterprise architecture functions such as Security, Performance, Development Process, and Application Governance.
Work closely with Q2 Lending customers across the entirety of the industry in North America; our largest and most important customers, including banking, Alt-Fi and treasury services.
Interacts across the business with technical and business teams, architects, C-Level executives, and key decision makers.
With a strong blend of industry knowledge and solution skills, the Solution Architect uses a consultative approach to understand business and technical requirements to help the Professional Services teams develop and refine a technical solution strategy to promote Q2 Lending solution fit.
Provide guidance on application and integration development best practices, Solution Architecture standards, functional and technical solution architecture design, environment management, testing, and Salesforce Platform best practices.
Drive the creation of application and technical design documents which leverage Q2 Lending best practices and effectively integrate Q2 Lending products into the customer’s infrastructure.
Comfortable working with complex business requirements, design, and help configure (or build) the desired solution.
Collaborate with Implementation Engineers, Project teams and implementation partners to determine the solution details and value of the proposed architecture
Identification and pro-active management of risk areas and commitment to seeing an issue through to complete resolution.
Troubleshoot key customer implementation issues and demonstrate ability to drive to successful resolution.
Manage customer expectations; negotiate solutions to complex problems with both customers and third-party partners.
Build relationships with business partners, internal and external, and contributing to broader goals and growth beyond the scope of a single customer engagement.
Contribute to the growth and maturity of the Professional Services Practice by identifying and participating in internal strategic initiatives to grow the consulting practice, leveraging junior teammates to achieve individual as well as team growth; serving as an active contributor to the practice knowledge and resource base
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
Typically requires 8+ years of related work experience designing multi-tier enterprise solutions
Financial Services and Enterprise Software experience, ideally with Commercial Banking technology.
5 years hands-on Salesforce experience as a technical architect or similar role.
Experience designing and managing the delivery of cloud-based solutions and technologies such as Salesforce.com products and APIs, Apex/Visualforce considering governor limits, Lightning, Amazon Web Services, Heroku, mobile development technologies, identity providers and integration/ESB/ETL technologies.
2-4 years Commercial and/or Consumer Lending experience
Strong industry alignment and knowledge in financial services (Lending/Treasury Services/Corporate Banking/Client Servicing).
Strong industry point of view, able to discuss trends and challenges and provide a Q2 Lending / Salesforce platform perspective on how these will be addressed.
Experience with key areas of architecture, including integration technologies, single sign on, client data management and design patterns.
Experience with Waterfall and/or Agile implementation methodologies.
Ability to work independently and be a self-starter. Proven results leading and overseeing customer and/or partner success stories in the following domains: front- and back-end solution architecture, development and release management strategies, change management, and direct leadership in designing solutions that meet or exceed customer needs.
Proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration.
Guiding customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technologies that drive increased business value.
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for the audience.
Strong presentation skills. Able to effectively present and defend point of view to a variety of audiences.
Salesforce certification is preferred
