We are currently delivering raw data from a number of services to our Snowflake data warehouse, and we are working to add new data sources. With an eye on what data is, and could be, available you will work with stakeholders to define key metrics, build data models with dbt, develop dashboards in Tableau, and empower the team to make informed decisions.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with other teams to define and build dashboards, reports and analyses that drive impactful business decisions
  • Be the tool owner for Tableau. Contributing to the underlying data models, training our business users, and assisting with dashboarding
  • Build models in dbt to transform our data so that it adds as much value as possible to our stakeholders
  • Documenting your data models so that data consumers are able to confidently access our work

  • Stakeholders are engaged with the data and able to navigate Tableau
  • An Internal NPS Score

If the details below describe you, you could be a great fit for this role:

  • 2+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Business Intelligence, or Data Analytics working with large data sets across a range of sources
  • Excellent business acumen, with the ability to contextualize information and translate business issues into data models
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills, with experience applying skills to thoughtfully create data models in a warehouse environment
  • Experience with the modern data stack (i.e. dbt, Snowflake, and Tableau)
  • Strong data visualization skills, with the ability to translate data and its meaning to all stakeholders; Tableau experience preferred
  • Curious problem solver who can find creative solutions to business and data problems
  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter able to make suggestions and promote solutions to stakeholders based on technical capacities
  • Excellent communicator with track record of strong collaboration across teams to drive data-driven decision making
  • Quantitatively rigorous

Interview Overview 

Below you'll find an outline of the interview plan for our Business Intelligence Analyst role. Please note that this is what we expect the process to look like; we may ask you for supplemental information or require an additional step before making a final decision.

  • 30 min interview with a member of our Talent Team
  • A 1 hour zoom interview with the hiring manager
  • Take-home assignment (2 hours max)
  • A final interview with several team members

Salary

In the US, the base salary for this role is between $79,000 and $95,000, depending on skills and experience. We take a geo-neutral approach to compensation within the US, meaning that we pay based on job function and level, not location. For all other countries, we have competitive pay bands based on market standards.

Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors. We recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate.
