Competitive Intelligence Lead
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Competitive Intelligence Lead to join our growing team of CI professionals at CrowdStrike. This role requires a deep level of technical knowledge with some hands-on expertise. In this role you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, synthesizing key takeaways and presenting intelligence on CrowdStrike’s main competitors and to explain to our field and other stakeholders how we should position our solution and compete more effectively in the market.
You will serve as the deep subject matter expert on specific competitors, and be the go-to-source for our sales and marketing teams arming them with insights on how to outmaneuver our competition. You should be a self-starter and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects.
The position is ideally based in Austin, TX, Reading, UK, Sunnyvale, CA or Minneapolis, MN, although other locations will be considered.
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide an objective viewpoint based on an in-depth and ever-evolving understanding and analysis of CrowdStrike solutions and competitive information.
- Make recommendations on sales tactics and product strategy to enable CrowdStrike to win in the market.
- Develop and maintain collateral for sales support, including news flashes, response guides, detailed capabilities/POV assessments and 1:1 product comparisons.
- Collaborate with product/technical marketing and product management to assist with product launches by developing competitive support material and providing competitive readiness plans.
- Work on special competitive intelligence assignments like new competitor assessment, market analysis and/or primary intelligence gathering at industry events.
- Will be expected to work autonomously in the development of project plans, requirements, timelines, deliverables, etc.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Cyber Security market, strong preference will be given for experience at industry leading firms
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in Product Management, Sales Engineering, Technical Marketing, Customer Support or field-facing Competitive Intelligence
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into field actionable guidance and differentiated positioning
- Excellent people and management skills to manage projects and interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties

- SaaS startup or cloud firm experience
- Experience supporting or interfacing directly with field or customers
