Data Analyst

Workrise is hiring a Data Analyst to develop scaled insights solutions to drive business performance, accelerate product success and unlock customer value. This role will be responsible for translating business problems to useful analytics tasks. Ideal candidates would have strong exploratory data analysis and data visualization skills, great attention to detail and confidence in presenting findings to diverse groups of users.
Why Join us? Our Analytics team at Workrise sits within Product & Engineering, driving company level decision-making and operations strategy through objective analysis. Our key partners are company level executives, core functions on the business side and analytics engineering. We are responsible for providing accurate, reliable and accessible business metrics as well as contextualizing operational performance through advanced analysis.
What you'll be doing:
- Work directly with internal partners to understand business/product strategy and align analysis efforts to create solutions with a focus on automation, scalability and action-oriented intelligence.
- Gather requirements from business, define user stories, document requirements and acceptance criteria, analyze source system data, and document data mappings and transformations required for ingesting and exporting data sources.
- Assist in synthesizing data from many sources, developing value accretive reports, visualization and dashboards to derive business insights.
- Reconcile data between diverse sets of tools, assuring accuracy and driving data flow improvements.
- Maintain data quality and integrity of the data in partnership with Analytics Engineers and Data Engineers.
- Ensure frequent communication with other analytics stakeholders to drive use case development, testing roadmap, results, and iteration opportunities.
What you should have:
- 3+ years of proven experience in business analytics, business intelligence or comparable role; preference for experience within high-growth startups and/or top-tier mgmt consulting
- Advanced proficiency in SQL; bonus points for experience with Python
- Experience with creating & presenting management dashboards and reports in data visualization/business intelligence tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Hex, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize independently generated data points into a cohesive analysis, and clearly communicate the results of complex analyses to a wide audience in a credible fashion
- Tangible experience building something from the ground up
- Comfort in a dynamic, fast-moving, Agile, and matrix work environment
- Strong organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
