Data Engineer (Remote)
About the Role
CrowdStrike is looking for Data Engineer. The Data Engineering team operates within the Data Science organization, and provides the necessary infrastructure and automation for users to analyze and act on vast quantities of data effortlessly. The team has one of the most critical roles to play in ensuring our products are best-in-class in the industry. You will interact with product managers and other engineers in building both internal and external facing services.
Remote U.S. role within a reasonable commuting distance to one of the following offices: Sunnyvale, CA; Irvine, CA; El Segundo, CA; Austin, TX; Seattle, WA; Kirkland, WA; St. Louis, MO; Arlington, VA; Minneapolis, MN. Open to candidates in Canada as well.
You will...
Participate in engineering efforts to support R&D and maching learning initiatives
Understand, provision and maintain new and existing infrastructure
Learn about containerization, microservices, and distributed architecture
Work with cutting edge technologies and languages across the entire development stack
What You’ll Need
Must be currently enrolled in a full-time at a four university, currently working towards a CS/Engineering degree, graduating prior to August 2022
Experienced with some or all of the following: AWS, Python, Golang ,Kafka, Airflow, etc to build infrastructure.
Knowledge of distributed system design and associated tradeoffs.
Good knowledge of CI / CD and associated best practices.
Familiarity with Docker-based development and orchestration.
Bonus Points
Good knowledge of CI / CD and associated best practices.
Created automated / scalable infrastructure and pipelines for teams in the past.
Contributed to the open-source community (GitHub, Stack Overflow, blogging).
Prior experience with the Big Data ecosystem like Spark
Prior experience in the cybersecurity or intelligence fields.
Contributions to the open source community (GitHub, Stack Overflow, blogging)
