OutboundEngine, the leading done-for-you marketing automation platform for small businesses, is looking for a Data Operations Manager. We’ve raised $33.8M in funding, have over 10,000 customers on our platform, and need someone to drive the growth, enrichment and optimization of our sales lead database, and to implement processes to make sure we’re calling the right leads at the right time.

This role will play a critical role in the success of our sales team. Our company and team culture is relaxed but results-oriented. This role isn’t for someone who’s satisfied with the status quo--you’ll be expected to proactively identify opportunities to improve our team’s performance and pursue them relentlessly.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with marketing, sales management and executive leadership to develop target customer profiles for small businesses in a wide variety of industries
• Own the strategy and execution for acquiring prospect data to support a 100-person sales organization spread across multiple locations
• Scope the data architecture for a new database to support our data acquisition and management needs; manage dev resources to build and implement
• Engineer scalable processes to efficiently load data, identify duplicates and merge records
• Create a framework for evaluating data quality and the reporting backend to support it
• Design/implement analytics tools to evaluate sales pipeline performance and help our sales reps call the right leads
• Scope, evaluate and implement software needed to support your efforts
• Manage a team of 1-2 analysts and/or project managers

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field field such as computer science, mathematics, finance, economics or similar
• 3-5 years of experience in data science, sales operations, business analysis or finance
• 1+ years of experience managing direct reports; passion for helping others grow and achieve their goals
• Expertise in Salesforce or a comparable CRM; strong preference for applicants with Salesforce certifications
• Advanced Excel skills
• Deep knowledge of web scraping and data mining using Mozenda or similar tools
• History of managing large data sets and tools like Cloudingo and Demand Tools
• Proficiency in SQL, R, Python or other data-related programming languages
• A problem solver: you apply logic, creativity and persistence to find solutions
• You have strong project management skills, are able to manage expectations, and can work cross-functionally to deliver projects within scope and budget
• You are detail-oriented and process-driven and rely on data to make decisions
• Positive attitude and flexibility to meet the ever-changing needs of a fast-growing startup
