Responsibilities:
Lead a team to proactively identify and mitigate data quality issues, and respond to data source changes or outages, as well as escalations from customers and other stakeholders
Support data expansion by measuring and improving quality as new types of data and new data sources are onboarded
Monitor key data quality and operational support metrics, as well as customer feedback signals, to identify and advocate for opportunities to create additional value for our stakeholders
Prioritize data support operations needs based on impact, and an ability to establish trust and improve the overall customer experience
Partner with Product and Engineering squads to continuously improve the breadth, depth, and capabilities of our data quality monitoring and operational support tooling
Interface directly with stakeholders and product managers to understand and craft solutions to specific data support needs
Ensure success of data privacy compliance practices and workflows;
Nurture productive relationships with cross-functional partners, both internal and external, in an effort to break organization silos and push the work forward.
Service Design, Delivery & Transition:
Leading the planning service designs, strategy, availability, capacity, security, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning for the data organization
Leading on the creation and management of support models for new/amended Data Services
Seeking opportunities to improve service provision
Working with Service Support to plan the capacity and availability of systems
Own and lead a Customer Service Improvement Plan (CSIP) for your domain and ensure this is communicated to the relevant stakeholders.
Own, track and monitor the Data services risk register and ensure necessary risks are communicated to the relevant stakeholders.
Define, track and report on the service acceptance criteria of new/amended Data services
The Experience You Will Bring:
Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years in supervisory experience in building and leading data engineering teams
At least 3 years of industry experience in building data engineering solutions: Ingestion, Curation, Modeling, Persistence, Computation, and Delivery
Proven Track record of guiding teams through unstructured technical problems to deliver business impact. Demonstrated Ability to translate high-level business objectives into actions. Must be able to reference specific work product in relation to these skills.
At least 3 years experience at running cross-functional relationships and communicating with leadership across multiple organizations, departments, or capabilities
Demonstrated understanding of Data Architecture, Data Integration, Data Quality, Data Governance, OLAP, Multi-Dimensional Modeling, and Data Lineage concepts. Must be able to reference specific work product in relation to these skills
At least 2 years experience in contributing to data governance and security in a data platform
Demonstrated communication skills to collaborate with multiple Engineering, IT, and business teams. Must have worked in a matrixed environment and provide examples of communication strategy leveraged
At least 2 years experience working in Agile environments supporting multiple product owners with competing priorities.
What Will Put You Ahead:
Demonstrated understanding of delivering data solutions and architecture like Spark, Distributed Database platforms, RDBMS, ML Solutions, etc.
Product management experience in Data Management areas (e.g. Data Governance/Data Quality/Data Integration, ETL, Big Data, Streaming Data) and/or equivalent experience as a Product Manager, Technical Lead, and has handled data from various sources (raw, transactional, real-time, streaming, etc.)
Experience in Enterprise data projects (ingestion, pipeline, integration, etc.)
Experience with the use of Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor and control the data analytics pipeline
Experience working with a variety of database technologies.(e.g. relational, non-relational, timeseries, multi-dimensional…SQL Server, Presto, Postgres, HIVE, or Snowflake, etc.)
Experience in working with residential and commercial real estate data products
