The Healthgrades enterprise data platform will enable health systems to create a holistic patient view, eliminate data silos, and improve patient experience. This enterprise platform will bring together once disparate data into a single platform, breaking down data silos and making data more useful across an entire organization. The Healthgrades data platform will also serve as the underlying data management solution for powering Healthgrades CRM and other customer experience execution systems while enabling health systems to reach beyond traditional efforts to improve and manage patient experience and patient engagement.

What You Will Do:

  • Subject matter expert for internal and external advisory services for clinical data integration
  • Build out a Healthcare Data Integration Center of Excellence
  • Facilitate data integration discussions and collaboration with customers and implementation teams
  • Develop technical knowledge assets for data integration strategy with health systems and health IT/population health data vendors
  • Support the sales and implementation process with leading the data assessment for potential/newly signed customers.
  • Act as a subject matter expert related to clinical use of technology and integrations.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments on health IT vendors and providers/health system data capabilities
  • Research suitable third-party data solutions that are most appropriate, and propose how to integrate them when applicable
  • Communicate all concepts and guidelines to development team(s) and lead data engineering development across products
  • Analyze data sources and infrastructure capabilities at customers and determine the correct real time and API based data integration techniques
  • Participate in the design of data related operations
  • Review and advise on systems configurations, architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and designs
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers on healthcare data integration
  • Understand and integrate applicable security protocols
  • Participate in program roadmap exercises on data integration
  • Design and prepare presentations or briefs
  • May involve some travel (10-20% of time) (Post Covid)


What You Will Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in leading Hospital and Health System data Integrations
  • Direct EMR / HIE deployment experience
  • Experience with care pathway and clinical decision support design/development experience
  • Experience with Hospital Integration Engines (HL7, FHIR, and CCD/CCDA protocols)
  • Deep expertise on SIU and ADT messages and different scenarios for integrating these HL7 messages into Healthgrades platform
  • Excellent knowledge of software and application design and/or architecture
  • Solid understanding of data streaming architecture in healthcare
  • Experience with real-world healthcare data standards (ICD, HCPCS, LOINC, SNOMED, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering

Nice To Haves:

  • Experience working with EPIC, Cerner and other top EMRs on data integration areas
  • Experience with EPIC AppOrchard with provider availability messaging
  • Experience in healthcare data integration with platforms like Salesforce is a big PLUS
  • Understanding of privacy & security (e.g. HIPAA) requirements
  • Experience with connected devices and software solutions
  • Experience with the Health System and Payer industry
  • Understanding of security and compliance needs of healthcare data

  • Salary: $133K - $146K annually*
