Role Summary:
The Inventory Control Analyst is a vital part of the supply-chain process. Reporting to the Inbound Inventory Manager, the Inventory Control Analyst’s main priority is to ensure that the physical inventory remains accurate at all times. The Inventory Control Analyst will create and identify new opportunities for process improvements through creating metrics, analyzing data, and executing cycle counts while constantly collaborating with cross-departmental teams. Ongoing Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Execute inventory investigations when discrepancies arise using cross-functional systems, including QAD, Magento, and KWI
• Remove damaged inventory from software programs and provide monthly reports regarding tracked issues
• Execute periodic spot-checking and physical inventory transfers
• Assist with planning and completion of daily cycle counts and other measures of tying physical inventory to perpetual inventory.
• Document and communicate physical processes that may cause inventory variances or inaccuracies
• Generate monthly reports regarding fulfillment accuracy across multiple channels
• Review and report on inventory and dollar value adjustments, changes, and variances including root cause analysis
• Investigate discrepancies and drive procedures/controls to prevent further inventory discrepancies.
• Able to analyze transactional history to determine inventory flow through the distribution channel.
• Working with retail operations to rectify field inventory.
Requirements:
• 2+ years of inventory control experience, preferably within distribution
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
• Advanced Excel skills preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Advanced problem solving skills
• Resilient in a fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities
Work Location:
This is a full-time position located at our Austin, TX Distribution Center. Department hours are as directed by the Inbound Inventory Manager. Overtime, weekend, and holiday time may be required.
