Job Summary

ActiveProspect is seeking a Knowledge Management Specialist to establish & enrich our knowledge base, increase the findability of information, and fill content gaps. The Knowledge Management Specialist’s main responsibility is to ensure that ActiveProspect employees, customers, and prospects can quickly and easily find the information they need. You will be a foundational member of the Product team, working closely with all departments to build a best-in-class knowledge base for both employees and external parties. Successful candidates will demonstrate their ability to define & execute strategy while adapting quickly to the needs of the business. Come join a fun & growing team!

Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Execution. Lead the design, development, and implementation of knowledge sharing strategies & programs. Identify the knowledge that is critical to the organization.
  • Content Creation. Craft & edit content that is concise, clear, and consistent. Content may include product documentation, customer-facing content, and internal training/onboarding materials. 
  • Advocacy. Institutionalize a knowledge-sharing culture. Educate leadership and employees about knowledge management. You are the internal expert on knowledge management and its biggest champion. 
  • Organization. Identify the right tools & processes for capture, storage, validation, and retrieval of information. Ensure the knowledge generated within the organization is well organized and easy to find.
  • Partnership & Connection. Work closely with teammates across the company on various content-related projects. Use your strong communication & diplomacy skills to establish trust and achieve buy-in across the organization, even without formal authority.



Qualifications
 

  • 3-5 years experience in managing knowledge bases or customer communities.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Certified Knowledge Management (CKM) training (or similar) preferred.
  • Ability to quickly analyze and comprehend new or unfamiliar systems, processes, and terminology.
  • An organized, structured approach to work and an instinct for creating user-centered processes. Making order out of chaos is your superpower! 
  • A skillful listener, with the ability to seek input, analyze information, consider alternatives, and make good decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Demonstrated ability to create high-quality content.
