We practice discipline in our approach, demanding of ourselves highly performant, thoroughly tested, and exquisitely designed code. We value honest communication, close collaboration, and lifelong continuous learning. Finally, you will join our elite team of high caliber engineers, product managers and designers to build a brand-new, world-class e-commerce engine to power the future of SamCart as we revolutionize online purchasing.
Responsibilities:
- Pioneer a scalable, secure, best-in-class data platform in AWS or GCP, adopting cutting-edge technologies and rigorously following software engineering best-practices.
- Build data applications that enable access to real-time data analysis and alerts.
- Hire, mentor and coach a high-performing data engineering team, ensuring alignment in strategy and values.
- Participate in development of advanced e-commerce products in collaboration with our most distinguished engineers, product managers and designers.
- Own project outcomes, assuming responsibility for end-to-end verification of new solutions.
Qualifications:

- Advanced capability with relational, NoSQL, document, graph and time series databases (MySql, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Neo4j, Amazon Timestream, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence frameworks and methodologies.
- Demonstrated people management and leadership skills, with a consistent track record of mentoring and developing team members.
- Unwavering commitment to modern software processes and best-practices including test- driven development, infrastructure-as-code, continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- At least 7 years of professional experience in data engineering.
