Pricing Analyst
Q2 is looking to add a Pricing Analyst to join our growing team. The primary goal of the team is to maximize financial performance by delivering timely reporting and impactful insights to the business. The pricing analyst is a key resource to provide pricing solutions for Q2 through the product, sales and account management channels. The pricing analyst uses information resources regarding customer needs, historical data, market conditions, and internal margin/revenue targets to prepare pricing quotes and/or internal proposals regarding pricing strategies for future needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops, evaluates and implements pricing strategies and models based upon current business and competitive market dynamics.
Conducts research and performs competitive pricing analysis.
Monitors ongoing competitive environment to ensure practices do not adversely impact company reputation or customer satisfaction
Partners with Sales/Marketing, Business Development and Finance to correctly position product portfolio and establish pricing programs aligned with product/sales strategy and revenue recognition requirements.
Evaluates opportunities to monetize products offered and create upsell opportunities as products are repositioned in the marketplace.
Projects impact of pricing changes, individual promotions and rebate programs on revenue.
Creates/administers pricing databases and coordinates implementation of pricing proposals across the organization.
Compiles and reports on internal performance indicators for contracts across sales teams and product portfolios
Analyzes product cost, margin and other operational metrics to give transparency to business leadership
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, operations, research, statistics, math, economics, or related analytical discipline preferred
Up to 8 years experience
Financial management experience with planning, forecasting, and business analysis
Work cross-functionally throughout the organization to drive analysis-driven change
Demonstrates complex problem resolution proficiency and the ability to identify/implement process and system enhancements
Proficiency with analytical and presentation tools
In-depth knowledge of BI tools and practical experience analyzing data, program metrics, and performance
Advanced Excel and Power Point skills
Prior experience with Salesforce preferred
