Let’s build something cool. We’re looking for a great Process Analyst – this role focuses on designing new business processes, changing existing business processes and building the functionality to support these changes. Our ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and analytical skills with 3 to 5 years of experience working with agile teams in an e-commerce environment.

What you’ll do:

 For every new initiative

  • Work with stakeholders to understand what the business is trying to accomplish, and use this information to build business requirements and use cases
  • Conduct research to understand both current-state functionality and the future-state functionality needed
  • Translate this information into clear and detailed requirements, conveyed verbally and in writing
  • Document, maintain, and communicate the overall vision and roadmap for the product being built

Every sprint

  • Create detailed user stories that include appropriate acceptance criteria and have dependencies identified
  • Communicate how the overall product vision is supported by the user stories in the backlog
  • Work with one or more delivery teams to ensure the backlog of user stories is refined based on team input, understood by the team, and estimated for work
  • Prioritize backlog and look for ways to deliver valuable increments of functionality throughout the development process

During development

  • Participate in meetings with the delivery teams you are working with
  • Be available to answer questions and clarify user stories for the delivery teams
  • Review and accept work completed to ensure it meets documented acceptance criteria

Additional responsibilities

  • Work with project and program management teams to help communicate project status
  • Identify dependencies, risks, and issues across delivery teams and either escalate or coordinate with other teams to resolve
  • Hold delivery teams accountable for their commitments and quality standards
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure change management plans are in place for initiatives
  • Help to coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and work with stakeholders and delivery teams to resolve any identified issues
  • Assist in ensuring that project and business process documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately
  • Review issues reported in the production environment and work with delivery teams to resolve them

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years prior experience participating in an agile software development framework in a analyst or product owner capacity, specifically in an eCommerce or internet business
  • Experience in working with agile product lifecycle tools (e.g. VersionOne, Jira, etc.)
  • Proven success in designing business processes to support a product vision and writing user stories that detail the product
  • Demonstrated participation in cross-functional projects and coordination of cross-functional teams
  • Ability to simplify and communicate highly complex information and processes through flow diagrams, simple visual aids, layman’s explanations, and real-world examples
  • Exceptional written skills, ranging from plain-language user stories to complex process documentation
  • Proven success in building strong relationships, clarifying stakeholder expectations, and being able to communicate at all levels concisely and accurately
  • Experience with conflict resolution, scope management and issue & risk tracking
  • Experience in leading collaboration via cloud-based tools (e.g. Confluence, Box, Gliffy, Slack, etc.)
  • Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, etc.)
  • Experience in CRM tools like Salesforce

Preferred Skills

  • Engineering, Information Systems or Computer Science degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
  • Consulting or start up experience
  • CSPO, CSM, PMP, Six Sigma or Lean certifications
  • Ability to plan and document test cases prior to testing user stories in lower environments
  • Experience participating in technical design sessions and maintaining technical documentation
  • Ability to participate in change management activities to ensure adoption of new business processes
