Sales Engineer
We are looking for a collaborative and client-focused technical sales engineer focused on industrial applications of data science and machine learning. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of industrial operations & maintenance processes, reliability, or engineering and some exposure to new product introduction in at least one of the following fields: power generation, utilities, aviation, oil & gas, manufacturing, or transportation. Other industrial areas may also be acceptable. Familiarity with data mining or machine learning/cognitive computing algorithms and techniques (e.g. supervised/unsupervised learning, NLP techniques, classification etc.) and their application is strongly preferred but could be offset by strong industry or SME experience. The successful candidate will join our technical sales team.
In this role, you will work with a growing list of enterprise clients, supporting our sales team and SparkCognition engineers to deliver our current solutions and to help build next generation of analytics and security solutions based on cutting-edge machine learning algorithms. The following are required:
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills, specifically the finesse and confidence to present solutions to the executive team and to customers
- Independent thinking and desire to learn new techniques/technologies
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher with relevant experience. Masters or PhD in technical field preferred.
